ReefPlaza.com uses php to generate its pages.  At the time of this article rankings are generated once per hour.

Rankings are determined by the number of votes, or "hits - in" a site receives.  If 2 or more sites receive the same number of votes they will be sorted by the number of Ratings they receive.  For sites that have both the same number of votes and ratings we will then refer to their previous weeks rank.

Occasionally we will reset the stats and this will be a fresh start.  We will also maintain a compact list of rankings at the time of a reset for historical purposes.  These pages will be available at the time they become relevant.

When linking to us it is important to use the assigned URL code that will take your visitor to the page that allows them to vote for your site.  The current versions of these may always be called up in the edit account page by choosing the 'display link syntax' in the dropdown box.  If you link to us without using your assigned URL you will not get credit for the visitor as they will not be asked to vote.

Your Banners
For the ranking pages we are using an 88x31 banner with a size limit of 15kB.  We also ask for your 468x60 banner for the purposes of using it in our site of the moment box.  If you do not have an 88x31 banner we will use our default banner in the ranking page.  You may change your banner for your account anytime after you create it.  The system will upload your 88x31 banner to our site for display but the 468x60 banner will be called directly from your supplied URL.

Site of the Moment or Random Member Sites
The system will randomly select a site from the database for display here.  This is completely random and changes each time the list is regenerated.  Votes or ratings do not influence this.  We will use one of the banners you supplied when you signed up and display it in this box.
